About
Your LIFX lights on the Display — the cleanest direct path. Generate a personal access token at cloud.lifx.com → Settings → Personal access tokens, paste it once (use “Type on phone” to do it from your phone), and Herald keeps only that token. See every bulb with its state and brightness and toggle any of them hands-free. No OAuth, no developer app, no approval — LIFX's own cloud API.
Features
- Direct LIFX cloud API — no OAuth, no approval
- Token entry painless via the phone relay
- Every bulb with state + brightness
- Toggle any light hands-free
- Token only — encrypted server-side, never the password
Good to know
- LIFX only (for Hue/Google/Alexa together, use Home Assistant)
- On/off control — not full colour scenes yet
- Needs your LIFX cloud token; lights must be cloud-connected
Data safety
No third-party sharing. Herald doesn't sell or share your data, and there are no ads or trackers.
Minimal collection. Only what a linked service needs — provider tokens are encrypted on Herald's server and never stored on the glasses.
Encrypted in transit. All traffic is HTTPS.
You're in control. Disconnect any linked service at any time from the companion.
